Many times there situations come about when you want to overclock your graphics cards and your old faithful cooler gets broken. Usually the only way to solve this is to buy a new third hand cooler. This time we will take a look at two mainstream GPU coolers from Zalman and compare them against Arctic Cooling Accelero L2 cooler which is priced around the same range as the Zalmans. Let’s have a look how the Zalmans perform against the Arctic Cooling.

About Zalman:

Zalman Tech Co. is a Korean company that develops and provides aftermarket desktop computer products with primary focus on cooling enhancement.

VF950 LED comes in black&red cardboard box. Frontside has a plastic window, where you can see the fan and most of the heatsink. There’s also a list of compatible VGA cards for both ATI and NVIDIA in the lower part of the frontside. Backside has list of features and specifications along with some pictures of the unit. There’s also a small window where you can see the surface of the product.

Let’s take a look inside. Opening the packet was easy enough and inside we found along with the actual heatsink,  a brief manual, couple screws and bolts, small heatsinks for the memory modules and fanmate 2 for controlling the fanspeed.
