Conclusion
It was quite awhile ago I heard something from Zalman but now I have finally got a nice looking sample of their latest cpu cooler named CNPS9500 LED. It’s basically a silent cpu cooler with a led fan, but as we all know Zalman stands for something more than that. They are the experts on quiet products and therefore it will be interesting to see how this cpu cooler will perform during our tests.
Testing:
AMD 64+ 3200+ S939
DFI lanparty UT nF4 Ultra
OCZ Platinum 3700 1Gb
Sapphire X300
Maxtor 80 GB 7200 rpm harddrive
Ambient temperature was about 23 degrees celsius while testing. Full loads were taken by running Pcmark2005.
3200+:

At silent mode you will not even hear the fan, in normal mode it makes a bit of noise. We decided to compare this to the Coolermaster Hyper6+ that we reviewed earlier and even at silent mode with 5v the cooler performs excellent.
3400+:

Here we still have excellent temperatures even though we are running the processor overclocked. I have to admit that this is probably the best air cooling I have seen thus far.
Conclusion:
We can really see that this cpu cooler really performs even at silent mode. I have not seen anything like this before! It outperforms even my watercooling I have to admit. I love the silent mode as it’s so silent that you have to put your ear to the cpu cooler to be able to hear it. It was extremely well packed and it’s overall high quality. You can use this for several different sockets and it’s fairly easy to install with the good manual that is included. We give this 5 out of 5 and our editors choice award for excellent performance.
Pros: + Excellent performance
+ Well packed
+ Copper
+ Works for several sockets
+ Thermal paste included
+ High quality
+ Fan controller included
Cons:
- None this far
