Overclocked 3,9GHz:

We boosted the vCore with 0.4V and boosted the freq to archieve 3,9GHz, and as we can see the 11X performs better during load than during stock speeds. The performance is nice but it still falls behind the cheaper 7X by one dregree.

Conclusion:

You can pick this cpu cooler up for around 50$ which is a decent price since the Noctua costs quite a bit more. The 7X on the other hand performs excellent and since you can pick it up for 30$ it might be worth a look. Overall though it performed well and it’s very quiet also. I heard no noise or vibrations from the fan and the only flaw I found was that the installation procedure it a bit clumsy, I might actually go as far as to saying that this was one of the hardest cpu cooler installations that I have done. I mean it’s not impossible but I have seen smarter designs from Zalman in the past.

Overall a good unit though with good performance and low noise level as I could expect from a Zalman product.

Pros:
+
Performance
+ Size
+ Noise level

Cons:
- Installation
- Price
