Final test and Conclusion

Overclocked 3,2GHz:

We raised the Vcore abut 0.2V which inceases the the heat a bit more. The Thor’s Hammer performs exceptionally well with our 1000rpm Noctua fan even though it gets beat by the Zalman.

Conclusion:

This is a very nice cpu cooler, I had my doubts about Xigmatek in the past but this certainly changed my mind. The cooler performs outstanding even compared vs a Zalman cpu cooler as we saw in the earlier test. The only flaw that I have seen is that no fan is included, I guess it’s good since you can choose your own but if you are low on money I don’t think anyone is ready to put out another 10-15$. On the heatsink the corners are quite sharp and I managed to cut myself once when I wasn’t paying full attention. Quality and performance was superb though and installation was a piece of cake. The pros beat the cons anytime in this case so if you are looking for a good heatsink, I would surely consider this one.

Pros:
+ High quality
+ Good performance
+ Well packed

Cons:
- Sharp corners on heatsink
- No fan included.
