Conclusion
Testing:
AMD X2 4800+
MSI K9N Neo-F motherboard
OCZ PC2 8500 2*1024MB
Sapphire X300 video card
Maxtor IDE 133 80GB HDD 7200 RPM
Zalman ZM460-APS
The following software was used for testing, 3dmark2005, 3dmark2006, Call of Duty 2, Farcry, Quake 4 and Battlefield 2. To get an average FPS we used FRAPS.
Quake 4:

Quake 4 is our newest testing game, we used Fraps to record an average FPS in the game. We can see here that in this new game the XFX and Sapphire cards perform similar in these games. It is interesting to see how well this card will perform now under overclocking.
Overclocking:
During stock speeds at idle the card ran at 43 degrees celsius and about 47 degrees under load. We will examine how high we can push the core and ram and also share the temperatures after getting the results. Stock core speed on this card is 450Mhz and memory speed is at 1250Mhz. We were able to push the core all the way to 521Mhz before Rivatuner decided to bail on us. The memory was a bit tricky get up but we were able to push it up 110Mhz so we finally got it to 1360Mhz. The temperature under load at that stage was about 72 celsius. I would recommend a new cooler on the card if you are planning on overclocking it.
Conclusion:
This card has performed great for being an older videocard. I bet you can get these for around 100$ used or 150$ new. It’s really worth getting one of these older well performing cards as we saw in the test, the 7300GT was not even close to the performance compared to the 7800GTX card. I could not really find any flaws to the card except the fan that is not able to keep the card cool under overclocking. Otherwise the card is excellent for the people that cannot afford the latest but still want great performance.
Pros:
+ Performs well
+ Good accessories
+ Well packed
+ Overclocks well
Cons:
- Fan and heatsink
