As advertised, the RAM cooler was very easy to install and required no tools; simply slide a RAM stick in-between the clips and lock them down using the spring clips. Finally, plug in the cooler to a fan port on the motherboard and you have instant RAM cooling.Unlike many RAM coolers, the Vizo Sleet cooler has a narrow profile, allowing you to install two sticks next to each other.

Testing:

Test System:
AMD 64+ X2 3800+ AM2
ECS GeForce 6100SM-M
HP 2GB DDR2 RAM

Temperature measurements were recorded at the RAM sticks while the computer was performing Memtest for ~2 hours, followed by measurements at idle speeds.

Vizo Sleet RAM Cooler Review

The Vizo Sleet RAM cooler didnt provide very much cooling, due to perhaps its simple design and lack of any air cooling or heat pipes. However, in the long run, even a small drop in temperature can help with performance.

Conclusion:

The Vizo Sleet RAM cooler is a simple product that is easy to install, though it doesnt do much in terms of thermal performance. While you probably will not notice a performance difference in stock applications, the reduced heat helps lengthen the life of your memory.Plus, they look pretty cool and dont take up much space, allowing you to install memory sticks adjacent to each other.

Pros:

+ Easy to install with no tools needed
+ Slim profile

Cons: – Not much reduction in temperature
- Simple design
