Conclusion
Testing:
Intel Extreme X6800
MSI K9N Neo-F motherboard
OCZ PC2 8500 2*1024MB
Asus 8800GTX Aquatank
Maxtor IDE 133 80GB HDD 7200 RPM
Zalman ZM460-APS
We used the following software to benchmark the card with, 3dmark2005, 3dmark2006, Call of Duty 2, Battlefield 2 and X3 Reunion Demo.
Cards we compared vs in this test at Asus 8600GT and Asus 8800GTS.
Temperatures:

The temperatures are quite intesresting to see as the 2400 card stays very cool even under load. This is excellent news for HTPC users as the card is supposed to be able to perform even in a hot and small HTPC case.
Overclocking:
Stock settings for this card is 525MHz core and 400MHz memory. Quite low but remember this card is not meant to be a speedster card. We were able to get the core all the way up to 663MHz and the ram all the way to to 470MHz which meant we were able to squeeze out a few more FPS in the X3 Reunion demo we ran to benchmark with.
HDMI:
What is HDMI? Wikipedia translates it to this: “High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is a licensable all-digital audio/video interface capable of transmitting uncompressed streams.” With HDMI you get a better picture on your LCD TV. It also works way better to connect and you don’t have to bother with a black and white picture or blurry picture as with S-Video.
Conclusion:
The conclusion is quite easy when it comes to this board. It is a great card for under 100$ for your HTPC. Looking for a fast card? Then this is not what you want. I feel that this card still performs well under the circumstances and it offers a variety of new features as HDMI and DirectX10 support. The card is high quality and it has given me a new look at Visiontek and it will be one of the contenders when I am going to choose a new videocard again. I believe that for under 100$ you will get a hard time finding something better and therefore I will give this card our recommendations.
Pros:
+ Small
+ Well packed
+ HDMI
+ DirectX10
+ Overclocks well
Cons:
- Performance
