Conclusion

Movie clips:

Testclip 1 (Night video)

Testclip 2 (During the day)

I did several clips but chose these ones as they show best the video quality. I maxed up the settings for these shots and we can see that there are some problems during the night as we get a blurry picture for most of the time. During the day we have a very nice picture all the time but I don’t think you can expect much more from a 160$ digital video camera. If you want better quality etc I think you should look for something more expensive.

Conclusion:

Conclusions are always hard. I have to say this is a decent digital video camera which will give you a good video during good daytime or in very good light. As most cameras it has problems with night time pictures and video. I’m no camera expert but I have reviewed a few before so I have some experience. It was very well packed and had good accessories and sizewize this camera rocks as it’s very small and light weight. It has a good battery time as we have been fooling around with the camera and taping etc for a long period of time and the battery is not even halfway yet. It’s not expensive either as I saw it for around 160$ somewhere which is not bad for a digital video camera. In winxp all I had to do was plug it in and transfer the clips and pictures to the computer so the installation is very easy. It can also be used as a webcamera so you have three in one product. 30 MB built-in memory to store up to 20 minutes of video or 300 pictures, expandable up to 512 MB with optional Compact Flash memory card (for up to 160 minutes of video) gives this device alot of storage even with the built in memory. Overall this is a cool video camera which performs ok but not as well as I was hoping for and it also takes decent pictures in good light therefore we give this 4 out of 5

Pros:

+ Stores alot
+ Expandable memory
+ Well packed
+ Good manual and accessories
+ Good pictures under good light conditions
+ Good battery time
+ Lightweight and small
+ Good zoom

Cons:

- Would like to see better quality on the pictures
- Would like to see rechargable batteries included
