Gaming:
This kit works great for gaming. There is a bit more feeling when playing with a nice soundkit like this and having the right settings.
DVD:
Yeah this is a 5,1 surround kit and that is what you get but dont expect to much volume from this kit. Its mainly for computer use so for your personal own home theater system I would prefer something else. The sound is very clear though and it works great as a computer soundkit as its meant to be.
Music:
Music wise these speakers are ok. I could not really crank music up while having the subwoofer on normal level. I think these speakers work good for a computer but if you want a higher volume when listening to music I would go for something else. The satellites should have been made with a thicker plastic or in wood for better sound when boosting the volume.
Conclusion:
To sum this review up I have to say that this kit does what it is meant to do or atleast almost. This kit works great for a computer. If you want loud music or to have loud volume in movies this is not a kit for you. Ofcourse it has some flaws but there is no product that is perfect. The biggest flaw on this was that the subwoofer did not perform as I expected and the sattelites were made out of plastic which gives a weird sound. There are also a few things that stand out on this kit like color coded cables for example for easy plugin. All in all we give this kit 4 out 5 for a cheap kit that still gives you enough to use it with your computer. The price I found for the kit was about 60$
Pros:
+ Easy to install
+ Color coded cables
+ 5,1 surround
+ Cheap only ~60$
+ Wooden subwoofer
Cons:
- Plastic sattelites
- Could have better documentation
- Does not sound good when you crank it up louder
