The software is actually quite straight forward, the first tab shows general info about the connection you have and also the signal strength. The second one allows you to configure a few security functions while the rest of the tabs just lets you save profiles and general info.
Testing:
We used this device with our Dlink Dir-615 router and a separate computer to hook the adapter into. The computer is around 2 meters from the router itself therefore the high signal strength.

The left graph shows the Network LAN test in SIsoft Sandra 2009, here we can see a huge difference in speed between our well performing adapter and the others.
The right graph on the other hand shows Wireless performance and here we can see that the Trendnet adapter is number two after the D-Link 270Mbps adapter so its understandable since this adapter is “only” 150 mpbs.
Conclusion:
This adapter performs well, I will later on test it with a Trendnet router to see if we get even better performance. We have had a stable signal in the whole condo, there were no drops in signal or any dissconnects from the network.
The adapter is VERY small and will take very little room behind your computer so it’s quite handy even with a laptop if you need more network speed. Overall I am very happy with the software and performance on this device.
Pros:
+ Fast
+ Stable performance
+ Small
+ Good software
Cons:
- None this far
