Highlights:

Latest, updated TomTom map
Because roads are constantly changing, on average 15% of roads change every year, your TomTom App comes with the latest and most up-to-date map.

Map Share™ technology
Make changes to your own map and benefit from thousands of updates made by TomTom users every day – on-demand, wherever you are, free of charge.

Always the smartest, fastest route with IQ Routes™*
Despite posted speed limits, traffic traveling along a road at 8 a.m. moves at a different pace than it does at 2 p.m. Actual traffic speed is affected by rush hour, traffic light changes, pedestrian traffic, day of the week, and more. Only TomTom offers exclusive technology that evaluates routes based on actual traffic speeds, rather than posted speed limits, and will recommend the fastest route for the time of the day. *Feature available in the US and Canada only.

TomTom HD Traffic™
Get the most accurate, comprehensive and frequent traffic information available. TomTom HD Traffic is more accurate, provides more road coverage, and delivers updates every 2 minutes to get you around traffic more effectively than ever before. As soon as an accident or other delay is found on your route, TomTom alerts you and can re-route you to an alternative, faster route. Available via in-App purchase.

The app is installed through your iPhone or through iTunes as usual. After installation you can run all features without having to play around with any special settings. What I usually do with a GPS is that I put in my home address so I don’t have to type it in every time I want to go home. I simply push on the “Home” button- and everything is set!

If it’s daytime the map will look like the image on the left with clear nice colors, but if you run it late at night or early in the morning you have a night time feature that makes it easier on your eyes to view the screen. You can change these colors also to your preference.

The car is always marked as a triangle, and all streets are in different colors than the one you are traveling on. On the left picture you can also see that the app shows railroads.

The right image on the other hand shows a roundabout, you can clearly see that it shows in a different color where to turn and you also have audio instructions.
