Thermaltake TWv 480 watter power supply kit

12V is not as high as I expected it to be. I thought since the 3.3 and the 5 V are very high and stable the 12V would also have been higher, but this is not the case. The PSU performs very well though so you should not count this out if you are in the market for a new PSU.

Conclusion:

Well this is overall a very nice kit. You get a watt controller which also controlls the PSU fan. The power supply is fairly quiet when you turn the fan speed down on it. You get SATA connectors already included on it and you can run a Intel 775 motherboard with the adapter hooked on. We got very good voltages on 3.3 and 5V but we ran into some trouble when we measured the 12V as it was only at 11.3 under load which is a bit to low to get a max rating from us. Overall the voltages are stable all the time and the PSU runs the test computer like a charm. We give this kit 4 out of 5 for a nice kit that includes everything you need to run a good PSU.

Pros:

+ Watt controller
+ PSU fan controller
+ Well packed
+ Sleeved PSU cables
+ SATA connectors
+ Intel 775 ready

Cons:

- 12V to low

Red&Blackness gives it 4 out of 5 dots
