Introduction
HTPC computers are getting quite popular these days and today we are taking a look at a HTPC case from Thermaltake. They sent us one of their latest cases named DH 101 with a display and a piano mirror coating on the case to give it a very nice look. How well does this compare to other brands HTPC cases? What features does it hold? These are a few things we are going have a look at today.

The product comes packed in a newly designed box from Thermaltake. They have made their logo smaller and focused on the product itself. I also don’t see the familiar orange that Thermaltake usually has. This change makes the box look very nice and you can see that they focus on the product itself. The case is black and has a silver bottom part. The display is located on the front left and as you can see the top has ventilation holes to vent out the hot air out of the case.

The on button is located on the front left below the display itself. Thermaltake has also put their logo on the top left. In the middle you got a small cover “lid” that opens up and unveils the USB and sound ports. On the right side on the other hand you have the controller buttons for the display and windows along with the volume wheel.
Please click on thumbnails to get bigger pictures The top and the sides of the case are equipped with ventilation holes as HTPC cases tend to get a bit hotter than normal cases due to the size and silent performing fans that are not able to push out so much of the hot air as normal fans are. The case was a bit damaged while taking this picture, it seems like it was damaged during shipping, which I wonder how it is possible as the whole case came packed in foam inside the box. Well I was able to straighten out the case though, the back is equipped with two 60 mm fans to exhaust the hit air. The PSU will be standing up when you mount the case and that means that you better check that your PSU will fit.
