Conclusion

We had a look at a smiliar case to this Damier awhile back. It was the Wingo case and this time we have the Damier from Thermaltake. We will look closer into how big the case is and if it might be fitting for a overclocker or just a normal user. Thermaltake are known to make nice cases and the Wingo case recieved a nice recommendation from us so it will be interesting to see if this one gets one also.

Don’t let this cable mess scare you off since they are actually separated so you can easily find the ones you want. On the right picture we have the rails for the drives. You can use rails on the cdroms and harddrives for example.

All the edges and corners are rounded in this case which is something I would like to see on more cases. Under the case there is 4 feet that you can just twist over to the side as we can see. This is a nice feature also since you can twist them back when moving the case or when you don’t have enough space for them.

Here on the left we have 3 out of the 4 fans that are included with the case. The fans make some noise yes but with the fan controllers included you can still get a quiet case. We also have the back I/O plate and a little zip lock bag with screws and stands for the motherboard and the drives.

We also got something called a VIP pack in the box which includes a mousepad, stickers, manual, and a cd with a screensaver etc. On the right picture we have the motherboard mounted and we can see that this case offers alot of space around the motherboard. I personally believe that you can mount a watercooling rig in this without any problems even if you are a beginner.

Here we have the Thermaltake logo which has on/off / flash mode / lighting modes to choose from.

Conclusion:

The Wingo and this Damier case are very similar and both very good cases but this one is in aluminum which is ligher. Even though I did not get a sample with a window there are ones available. This case has alot of space so it’s very suitable for people that want to run a watercooling rig or just want adequate space. I found a price here in Sweden which is around 140$ so I bet in America you can find these for around 100$ which is very cheap considering all the features and superior quality you get with it. The fan controller and all the fans are a nice addition to this series of cases. I have to say I’m very tempted to change my Aopen case to this Thermaltake case as I feel it’s better quality and just in general better. Overall I have to give this the same rating as the Wingo case which means this case gets 5 out of 5 and a recommendation for a great case that gives you top quality for a low price!

+ Big
+ Fans and fan controller included
+ Aluminum
+ Rails on drives
+ Well packed

+ Harddrives mounted from the side

Cons:

Red&Blackness gives it 5 out of 5 dots
