Conclusion

Our testing was done by using the overclocking features in bios provided with the motherboard. To archieve our results we had to boost the Vcore voltage quite a bit and at the end of our test the CPU was running at 80 degrees celsius. I think our setup could have gone alot further but as I said, heat issues stopped us from getting further.

This ram kit has proved to be a speed monster on the market, it differs alot from the Corsair kit we tested as we had some problems with it. Although to defend the Corsair a bit I have seen review results that go very high so I beleive we got a bad sample to start with. However as I said that is NOT the case with the Supertalent kit.

Latency:

Now the ram comes at a stock latency of 7-7-7-21. We were able to tweak it a tad at 380 FSB as the ram was stable at 7-7-7-20 1T ofcourse. At lower speeds like 320 FSB we ran the latency at 7-7-7-19 without any problems.

The latency has been the major factor on the DDR3 kits so far but they seem to be slowly dropping down again and as we were able to tweak the latency a bit we are happy with the results.

Conclusion:

I am quite impressed with this ram kit, they have proved to be very powerful overclocker ram sticks. We were not able to push it further due to heat issues but I can promise you that these sticks have a bit more to give as we did not have ANY stability issues even at 380 FSB. I don’t think I have found anything to complain at so far, the ram performs great even though it is a bit slower at stock speed than the Corsair kit was. The heatsinks design they have used here seem to work pretty well since I had no heat issues with the ram even though I never had any fan on them during the testing.

The major issue as I said before with the DDR3 kits have been that they cost to much for the performance they give, I have to say I beleive that that trend is turning at least when it comes to this memory kit. Overclock, push it and see what you can do with it, we have not had any issues and therefore I want to recommend this kit as a great overclocker kit for the consumers on the market.

Pros:

+ Overclocks very well
+ Stable
+ Stays cool
+ Well packed
Cons:

- Stock speed
