At first look the Speedlink Libera seems to be made from aluminum. However it is not! This product has an all plastic design and considering the pricetag of about 40€ I’m not suprised. However, Libera feels very solid and the user will not really notice a difference whether it would be made from aluminum or not. The keyboard is painted in aluminum colored paint however.
Speedlink Libera operates using two AAA-sized batteries. During our test sessions we did not have to change the batteries, so the batteries should last over a month in any case.
Let’s take a look underneath the keyboard. Alongside with a small power switch and connect button there is the battery compartment. You need a pencil or stick of some sort to be able to push the connect button, and as with all bluetooth devices the Speedlink Libera can be paired with only one computer at a time.
