Seasonic Ss-600ht 600WPSU
It was awhile ago we looked at a Seasonic power supply, a few days ago we got their new PSU the SS-600HT power supply at a whopping 600W. We have decided to compare this to OCZ Powersteam and a Coolermaster supply to see how well it performs against these PSUs that have performed very well in testing before.

The product is very well packed in a small box that has a handle on top so you can easily carry this. On the front you have a cool looking picture of a killer whale and a picture of the power supply itself. On the back you will find tons of information about the neat features that this power supply holds.

So what’s included with the PSU? Well we have a power cable, cable ties, manual and a small adapter. The power supply itself is equipped with a nice 120 mm fan which is supposed to be very quiet, this is something we will look at later in the review.

The backside of the power supply is designed with a honeycomb fan grill design to maximize the air flow out of the PSU. I have to admit that this fan is VERY quiet! I cannot hear this fan if I don’t put my ear to it. This has to be the most quiet power supply I have tested.

18 amps on both 12V1 and 12V2 are very good specifications that will give you enough juice to boost the latest computers. This power supply is equipped with the latest power connectors for PCI-E, 24 pins etc etc.

Gigabyte ATI Radeon X700

Full load voltages are taken by running SuperPi and Sisoft Sandra 2005 burn in program. Voltages are taken by measuring with multimeter.
3,3v:

Lower voltages than the Powerstream but still stable voltages under load and while idling.
5v:

Same thing here as with the 3,3v the voltages are extreme ly stable which is the main thing.
12v:

At 12v the difference between idle and full is 0.1v which is very minimal even when it comes to overclocking. Testing shows that this power supply has very stable voltages.
Conclusion:
This is a very nice and quiet power supply, the only thing there is to complain about would be the price, but I mean its lower than most quality brands out there. This is overall a very nice product, that shows quality already when looking on the package. The accessories really give it a boost also but what amazes me is how QUIET the PSU is and how stable the voltages are. Overall we give this power supply 5 out of 5 and our editors choice award for a amazingly quiet that still performs and gives very stable voltages.im e
