Sapphire 9100igp RS300-AA38 motherboard

Pifast:

We used a computation of 10000000 digits of Pi, Chudnovsky method, 1024 K FFT, and no disk memory. There is a pretty big gap between these two processors. The lower numbers the better.

Overclocking:

Overclocking is nothing we should talk about with this board. You cannot change voltage. You cannot overclock the FSB more than 15mhz either, after that it’s maxed. I think this board is still in the baby stage when it’s not completely done since it will be released in the beginning of February for the public so I bet it will work better after they have released it officially with a better bios :)

Conclusion:

Well this motherboard has some baby problems. With that I mean it’s new and it still has some baby diseases. The motherboard won’t be released until February but it has some potential already. It’s pretty fast at stock speeds and competes with the Gigabyte board we tested against. The bios has the most flaws which don’t allow you even to change Vcore or to overclock more than 15mhz FSB. This will be probably be fixed with time but at this moment these things bug me the most. This board will sell for about 90$ which is very cheap for a board with build in video. Fow now I can give this board 3 out of 5 for a average board that sells for pretty cheap and has built in video etc.

Pros:

+ Cheap!
+ Fast at stock speeds

Cons:

- Overclocks only 15 mhz FSB
- Cannot change Vcore or any other voltage

Review will be updated as soon as we get a never bios version.

Red&Blackness gives it 3 out of 5 dots
