The front panel opens up to reveal the eight 5.25 drive bays and the one 3.5 drive bay.The panel is secured by magnetic latches which I prefer to other types oflatches. As you can see, the drive bay covers have ventilation holes to allow the air to flow from the fans to the interior of the case. However, Im skeptical how useful these will be in reality, considering that a fully populated set of drive bays will leave little room for airflow. Also on the side of the panel are two USB ports, a microphone jack, a headphone jack, a firewire connection, and a fan controller dial.

Turning the case to its side, we see a very large mesh grill that almost covers the entire area and an large 250mm fan attached to it (an optional cooling fan duct system is available but was not provided). On the other side, the only things visible are 8 holes, which allow you to install screws in the one side of the drive bay (assuming you can get them to line up correctly). These exterior holes are necessary since this side panel is not removable. While it does make for an interesting design, I would have rather seen a tool-less design.

Looking at the back of the case, we see a 120mm fan pre-installed and the standard set of slots for PCI cards and the motherboard I/O ports.Youll see that this case has the power supply mounted on the bottom and the hard drive on the top.Not necessarily the best setup for watercooling projects, since the power supply cables tend to take up all the space at the bottom of the case.

Opening up the case involves unscrewing two Phillips head screws.Once the case is open, we get a better view of that large 250mm fan.I was surprised that there arent any guards protecting the fan blades.Looking inside the case, we see the hard drive cage and a bunch of cables, many without marking which doesnt help. Also, I was disappointed that the case didnt come with an instruction manual, especially given that it has a non-standard temperature display on it (hopefully the retail version will include a manual). On a good note, the PCI slots have a tool-less design, which means that you dont need a screwdriver to install any cards. The case supports both ATX and BTX form factors, which is nice if you are considering upgrading.
