The mic is quite small and quite handy, it just plugs straight into the keybard and very convenient when it comes to gaming. The first thing the keyboard did when I hooked it up was to check with Roccat for a new firmware version, it found one and updated it within a few minutes.

After doing a little setting up in the software we were able to display cpu load, ram load, and also date and time. There are several things you can set it up to show although the software tends to be a bit buggy.

Software:

The first page in the software has the configuration for the macro buttons, the profile menu on the bottom is available whatever tab you choose to go to. The second page on the other hand shows the LED controls and power saving controls, you can set the leds to turn of after a certain amount of time to save power.

In the third tab you set what info the display should show, I mentioned earlier that you can set it to show cpu usage, ram usage, date, skype etc etc. The fourth tab is the update tab which speaks for itself. The fifth and last one is just a help tab.

Overall a nice software that is easy to work with and even though the background is black it’s quite comfortable for the eyes.

Conclusion:

I have been using the keyboard for a few days and the extra buttons make it harder to type on at first, the keyboard definitley has a learning curve to it. I have also managed to get a few bugs/errors on the display and even killed it completely, this was easily recovered by unlpugging the keyboard though. The software works great except if you do a change and then push apply the keyboard won’t adapt to the change, instead the software can fail and create a error.

The positive sides? Well it’s really nice to type on, keys are comfortable and quite silent. The macro keys will help a game immensly in games and the macro recording functions is quite cool. I also like the fact that you can control the strength of the leds and display. It feels sturdy and should be able to take a bit of beating, they are include buttons and a tool to remove the buttons easily so you can change macro keys to different colors. The mic on the side is the most perfect thing I have seen , no more a extra mic on the table or on the headset.

Price then? Around 100$ is a tad more than the boards I personally look at but for a gamer I dont’ think that it will be a problem, 41 macro buttons a cool design, sturdy and it has a mic.

Overall it got a few flaws but nothing a firmware update / software update can’t take care of.

Pros:
+ Nice looking
+ Sturdy
+ High quality
+ Low noise keys
+ Macro keyes

Cons:
- Buggy firmware / drivers
