Conclusion:

This headset has its flaws;  for 173$ I had my expectations, don’t take me wrong it is a good headset overall but it has some flaws. For example when you don’t have music running you hear a buzzing sound even at lower volumes, yes this happens with other headsets also but this was just too loud to be acceptable. I also expected this to have a longer reach due to the radio frequency they advertise but this was not the case unfortunately.

I like the fact though that it’s comfortable, easy to use, has a nice dock and a very nice battery time. If Razer would take their time and release a new version of this headset I’im sure they could fix the bugs or problems it has.

My favorite headset this far is the Corsair Vengeance 2000, the Razer Chimaera is in second place while the Logitech G930 is the last due to the bugs it has.

None of these are bad though, some have better features than the others while all have their bugs, none of them are perfect.

The Chimaera 5.1 is a nice headset though with the Xbox360 feature and 5.1 sound so don’t count them out if you are in the market for wireless headphones.

Pros:

+ Comfortable
+ Nice dock/stand
+ Works on Xbox 360
+ Good sound
+ Good battery time

Cons:

– Buzz sound at higher sound levels
– Price
