Introduction
In today�s modding world, anyone who is a modder has a cold cathode kit in their case. There is always controversy about which company makes the best, highest quality, and brightest lights. Today we will check out a pair of UV cathodes from PcToys.
Now, when most of us think of UV we think of harmful radioactive rays from the sun and associate it with cancer. Cold cathode UV lights do not give out these kinds of rays, these UV rays are not as powerful, so they won�t deform you in any shape or form 
.

Let�s take a look at a few specs before we move on to the unit itself:

The Kit Itself
As we can see, the cold cathode came in a really nice and clear package. The cathode fit in there tight, this will prevent it from bouncing and breaking.
Included in the kit were:
- 2 � 11-inch UV cathode lights
- 1 � Covered inverted
- 1 � Female and Male molex connector for 12v power
- 1 � Round black rocker switch
- 1 � Strip of Velcro
- 4 � Zip ties
- 4 � Plastic mounting feet with adhesive
Let�s take a look at all the parts individually.
Molex Connector and Rocker Switch
The Female and Male molex connector is a good thing as it will not cause you to lose a molex connector from your power supply. For some people this may not matter as they have a bunch of free connectors anyway, but for others it is vital and can save them from rewiring headaches and problems.
The rocker switch is just your ordinary rocker switch. Everything is already pre-wired, its just plug and play. The switch is round, so installation of it into a case would be very simple.
Inverter
The inverter is a plain black box. It is very easy to conceal within your case using the Velcro provided. When we open up the inverter we can see how easy it is to change the cathodes with cathodes from other kits. The possibilities are endless. If you are truly strapped for room you could always remove the inverter from its plastic encasing to save space, but of course, it�s not recommended. UV Cathodes
The cathode is truly well made. The ends are reinforced by large plastic squares. The cathode is clear, only the center �rod� is a purplish color. It can easily be mistaken for another darker color cold cathode.
found the sticky feet and zip tie idea to be strange. Instead I improvised and just super glued the sticky feet to the plastic squares. Zip ties will just mean more mess and possibly won�t look as good.
