Testing:
We tested the module using Lenovo R61i laptop (Core 2 Duo 1.5GHz / 4Gb ram) and crystaldiskmark program.
We clearly see that the drive performs quite well against our competitors. Patriot manages to get up to 27MB/s read speeds in our tests and 14MB/s write speeds. These are lower figures than the one promised by Patriot (read: 35M/s write 25M/s) but nevertheless way faster than our competing USB sticks. Patriot wins Maxell and Sandisk in every test. Way to go!
Conclusion:
I don’t know if Patriot managed to impress you, but me it certainly did! Even though read and write speeds aren’t quite what they promised, still 27MB/s read and 14MB/s are way beyond average on these products. Compact design, easy to use, and no removable parts are all important factors when choosing a thumb drive. Patriot Xporter Rage has them all. I can recommend this module to anyone who is in need of one or just need fast memory stick for any purpose.
