The board we used was the Chaintech ZNF250 which is compatible with the booster according to the compatability chart. You can really see how tight it is and on this specific board you can only run one ram module if you have the booster in. The chart brings up where to mount the booster and what the cons might be when running it.

Testing:

As you might have seen in other reviews already this product does really work as we were able to push up and get 20 FSB more out of our ram. Although we could not get close to maxing this out since we thought it got a little to hot. I would recommend active cooling on the memory sticks when boosting up above 3 volt to be on the safe side. The memory we used were Mushkin 1024 3200DDR but we used only one stick as that’s the only thing that fits. The testing rig was the following:

3200+ AMD64
Chaintech ZNF250
512 mb 3200 Mushkin DDR
Geforce FX6800 Ultra
40 gb Samsung 7200 rpm HDD

Conclusion:

It’s a risky business to be an extreme overclocker so take it slow and test your way up to the top with this product. Before buying it check that your motherboard is compatible with it and have some active cooling on the memory while overclocking. I found this product for under 40$ so the price is not that bad either if you consider what you’re getting from it. Installation is a piece of cake and I don’t think I find anything negative with this product even though I’m supposed to although the booster takes up one memory slot!. We give this our fullest recommendations and 5 out of 5 for a great product.

Pros:

+ Easy to install
+ Does what its supposed to do
+ Cheap
+ Well packed

Cons:

- Takes up one memory slot!

Be careful when using this product and remember to cool your memory of! Happy overclocking!
