Conclusion
Overclocking:
This part was quite interesting, with just standard voltage we were able to run the ram at 220*10 right away. Boosting the ram and tweaking some settings allowed us to run the ram at 245*10 and after that it stopped. All this was done with standard timings. So we lowered the multiplies to 9 and were able to boost up to 260*9 and by lowering to 8.5 we got the ram to 270*8,5. I think these are decent results and they filled my expectations. Timing wise we got the ram to run at 2.5-3-3-7@ 235 but that was really max, it did not matter if we changed the timings nor the voltage since we could not go higher up than this. Running Superpi showed us that we got a 30 seconds faster computer in the 8M testing @ 270*8.5.
Conclusion:
It’s time to conclude this review, and I have to start with saying that this is a nice kit. OCZ are known for their reliable but still well performing memory and this is no different. It performs very well and also overclocks very nicely. OCZ memory cost quite a bit but you get quality for your money. A lifetime warranty is just one of the features that should convince you to buy their products, you also get great performance and the new XTC heatsink that cools of your memory better than the traditional heatsinks on the market. Overall I want to give this product 5 out of 5 and our recommendations for a great 2gb memory kit that performs well and gives you the possibility to overclock. Pros:
+ Nice looking
+ Performs well
+ Well packed
+ Lifetime warranty
+ Stable performance
Cons:
- Could overclock more
- Price
