Noctua’s fan comes in a windowed cardboard box to show off the fan’s beveled tips and rubber mounts.  The box is so covered with information that the back folds open to reveal diagrams, charts, and graphs that explain what makes the NF-S12B so quiet.

Inside the box, the fan is packaged in a plastic shell that securely holds the fan and all of the installation components.  Included with the fan are four screws, 4 vibraion compensators, a 3-pin fan to 4-pin molex adaptor, the Low-Noise Adaptor, and the Ultra-Low-Noise Adaptor.

The fan blades are molded from dark brown plastic and beveled at the tips to cut down on friction with the housing.  The fan uses a standard 3-pin connector, but the cables are sleeved together to make them easier to manage and hide.
