Testing & Conclusion

Testing:

The following test setup was used during our test sessions. Our test setup tries to simulate a usual setup found in many homes. Also our CPU was chosen having value overclockers in mind, as most E6300 are easily overclocked to over 4GHz.

Intel Pentium Dual Core E6300 @ 4GHz
MSI P43
ECS 9800GT
A-Data DDR800 2x2GB Dual Channel Kit
Samsung 640GB Hard disk
Seagate 500GB Hard disk

3.3V Rail:

We found 3.3V rails being rock solid. Only 0.01V difference was noticed during our two hour long test sessions.

5V Rail:

Like 3.3V, also the 5V keeps amazing us. We saw 0.01V voltage difference during our tests in +5V line. Well done!

12V Rail:

12V rail is always under the highest stress in power supplies. Providing the enormous 50A current in a single stream we knew the RX-6300 is high quality power supply. Like with the previous rails, we only noticed 0.01V voltage difference under heavy load.

Conclusion:

Yet again Nexus suprises us with their high quality. Being very silent, possibly one of the most silent active cooled power supplies, RX-6300 will definitely be worth the value. Priced around 112€ here in Finland it costs around the same as any other high quality 600-650W power supply. The RX-6300 has very stable voltage rails, which makes it excellent choice for even the most demanding places. Availability of the RX-6300 is great throughout the whole Finland and I suppose it should be widely available in whole Europe and America. The only con I could find is the lack of power cable. I know it’s the same with all Nexus power supplies, but it can come as a suprise for someone who doesn’t know it.

Pros:
+ Very silent
+ Stable voltage rails
+ Modular
+ Sleeved

Cons:
- No power cord included
