Overclocking and Conclusion

Overclocking:

These are the results we were able to obtain with our setup that was used. At 210*20 we have Hyperthreading turned off to maintain stability. 210*20 gave us 4.2GHz on our Core i7 920 CPU. We had Intel turbo function turned off to get more accurate benchmarks, it otherwise gives 21 on the multiplier. These results were obtained with raising all the voltages.

Latency:

This memoery kit comes at a 7-9-7-24 stock latency and at our max overclock of 210*20 we were no able to run anything else than a stock overclock.. But at 205*20 we were able to drop them a bit to 6-8-7-22  and maintain a stable computer setup.

Conclusion:

Now we have seen this memory kit perform very well both at stock speeds and especially during overclocking, the list price is curently at 245$ while you can pick the kit up for 213$ from the Mushkin website. This is not a horrible price, the memory prices have lately gone up quite a bit.

I am sure this ram kit would do even better with a different motherboard that we used, probably with one of Asus overclocking boards are recommended. I am very satisfied with the kit, it stayed cool during overclocking and remained stable and I’m sure it is not the ram that stopped us but more like our motherboard. Something that really stands out is that this memory kit has a Lifetime warranty so you never have to worry about the ram, for Mushkin to be able to offer a Lifetime warranty it means that they really trust their product to offer this.

Pros:
+ Fast
+ Overclocks well
+ Price
+ Well packed

Cons:
- Latency
