You can always find the latest software for the mouse on Mionix website, they actually don’t send you a cd with the software so you can get the latest online. The software itself is very easy to use and very logical, the first ”buttons” menu allows you to configure the buttons and their actions.
The second menu is the DPI menu where they have preset a DPI up to 3200. By pushing the buttons on the top you change the DPI on the mouse which comes in handy when you are about to play FPS games or just surf the net.

In the ”macro menu” you can program macros that are supposed to happen when you push a specific button. In the cursor menu you can control the cursor speed etc.

In the ”misc menu” you will be able to setup double click speed and scroll speed. You can set the amount of lines it will scroll or if you want it to scroll a whole page at a time.
Testing:
I have personally tested this mouse in both games and also in normal Windows usage. In windows the mouse performs very well without any lag or hickups in general. My buddy who is a FPS lover and has played everything from Quake until now gave the mouse a shot in Team Fortress 2 where he chose to be a sniper which means you need precision and no lag. He said that there is no lag at all with this mouse, he was able to play alot better than before due to the smooth moves he was able to have as a sniper. He felt the mouse is a tiny bit to small for a person with long fingers, personally I have small hands and the mouse fits absolutely perfect in my hand.
Overall though we were both quite happy with the results after testing the mouse, it moves smooth and stops the second you stop the mouse which means you are able to play as a sniper class even at fast paced maps.
Conclusion:
This mouse is very comfortable to use both for games and normal daily usage. The rubber pad gives me a very good grip of the mouse and the buttons are well positioned on it. The ergonimic design of the mouse has really been give alot of thought so the hand lays perfect on it.
The only con is that people with longer fingers can end up feeling a bit uncomfortable. The rubber pad on the side has one flap that is not glued on the bottom so you can clean under it but I have seen consumer reviewes which say that it ends up falling off sometimes, so I would like to see the bottom flap glued also. Otherwise the mouse has worked perfect and it’s very smooth in games and shows no signs of lag.
Pros:
+ Comfortable
+ Rubber pad
+ Smooth moves
+ No lag
+ Sleeved cable
Cons:
- Rubber not fully glued
- Long fingers make the mouse feel small
