Above the numpad there are four new buttons to use while using the numpad. The arm rest is padded and is very comfortable to rest the hands on. In between the split they have placed a back and forward button so you can rest your mouse arm a bit. I have tested this feature for awhile and I think it’s nice since it makes surfing the net easier but it takes awhile to get used to it.

Underneath the keyboard they have placed a stand to push the keyboard up, I don’t see the point with this as it’s very uncomfortable to have it mounted. I guess in theory it should support your wrists a bit more so you don’t have to bend them but personally it’s a waste. I’m glad they made it so you can remove it if it does not fit your needs.

There are two stands you can flip up to move the top of they keyboard up also if you feel more comfortable that way. On the right picture we have a picture of the stand that goes in underneath the front, it clips on with three clips so it won’t pop of without you removing it.

The top keyboard is my old Natural keyboard that has been my main keyboard for years and years now and it’s still going strong. We can see that sizewise the keyboards are very similar and it’s the same thing weight wise.

Testing:

I have been testing this keyboard quite awhile now and I still can’t really get the hang of it. I said before that the space key is to high up and it’s not something I have been able to get used to yet. The keys are nice to type on though and the keyboard is very nicely shaped so you can rest the arms on the padded arm rest. I like the idea with the forward and back buttons to be placed below the space button it makes it easy to surf. I also like the big volume, mute, and favorites buttons but the spacebar feels to stiff as the rest of the keys are easy to type on. The spacebar you basically have to push down three times harder than the rest of the keys. I have to admit though that this keyboard has some nice new features to the older ones that I have owned in the past but it also has some flaws that I really look forward to being fixed in the next natural keyboard.

Conclusion:

Microsoft has made some upgrades and made a decent keyboard here but the few flaws that we fond are to serious to leave unnoticed. I forgot to mention the software that is included, there you can set the zoom and what actions to do with all the extra keys also. The software is easy to use and alot of you will recognize it from the older versions of Microsoft keyboard software. I liked how this was packed but I really wish a Ps2 adapter was included as most companies use USB these days and that means people have to buy USB hubs to be able to run everything. Overall though we give this 4 out of 5 for a nice keyboard that has some really cool features as zoom, back forward buttons etc.Pros:

+ Nice color scheme
+ Cool features
+ Zoom wheel
+ Padded arm rest
+ Well packed

Cons:

- Spacebar is shaped wrong
- No Ps2 adapter
