Testing:

I have been waiting to test some USB 2.0 things and finally I have got a pci card from macally that is really great. You simply plug it in install the drivers and then double click on the test program.

Here we see the speed on the USB 1.1 Sequential write speed is 945 kb/s SequentialRead speed is 1093 kb/s Random write speed is 1032 kb/S and Random read speed is 5 mb/S

Yes this is the test with a USB 2.0 drive and as I can see the speed is a lot faster with the USB 1.1 and USB 2.0. The sequential write speed is 3999 kb/s sequentialWrite Speed is 6 mb/s Random write speed is 1032 kb/S and Random read speed is 5 mb/S

Conclusion:

Well let’s see how it went for this great looking product. It�s very fast and simple to install. I really like this product, except that you have to download drivers to install the USB 2.0 drivers the firewire works without drivers. Please download drivers for the USB 2.0 funktion to be running http://www.macally.com/techsupport/drivers/U2v2_1_3_1.zip.
