Introduction

Well Ledfeet are pretty new still on the modding market but they really do add a nice look to your case. We got some of these feet from Xoxide and today we are having a chance to take a look at them closeup. This will be interesting to see how they really do look like. Stay tuned for this review.

Specifications:

This mod is an amazing addition to any computer. Whether you have never done a mod before, or your computer already has 8 billion lights, this mod will look amazing. The Footstep Mod takes a look at a part of the computer that is not usually considered during the modding process. This is the bottom of the system. The four LED’s that come encased in thick acrylic are designed to act as feet for your computer. They come with double sided tape which neatly fits on both the acrylic and the case. The feet support the case, and at the same time give off a bright glow to the outside of your case. Outside lighting is a great effect to any case mod. Some people chose to do “ground effects” spruce up the bottom of their system. This is done by adding cathodes to the outside bottom of the case. This effect looks great, and coupled with the Footstep it’s simply amazing.

The product:

A very nice package which kept everything well packed and protected from scratches and dents. On the back of the package they have included instructions on how to install these feet. Installation is very easy though and with some logical thinking you will not need to even look at the instructions.

Included in this package are the feet of course and a power cable that has the leds on it. There is also some soft pads that has a sticker on them so they stick to the foot and to the case and keep them together. On the power cable there is also a on/off button that is mounted into a PCI slot and therefore there is a cover for a PCI slot that holds the button down. On the right picture I’m showing the leds you will easily see which are mounted in the back and in the front because the back ones have shorter cables.

On the left we have the on/off button that is mounted on the back of your case. The feet are already light blue so you will probably get a very bright shinning effect. The feet are hard plastic so they will not break if you don’t drop the case. Just push down the led into the top part of the foot. You will figure this out easily when you get them.

Another picture of one of the feet and this is the bottom. On the right picture I have the feet mounted and almost ready to rock and roll, all we have to do is to plug in the power cable now.

And we got some action. We can see that on both pictures they are very bright! The left one is with a flash and the right one without a flash of course :) We did not feel that they would heat up so they won’t warm up your case and they don’t make a sound either since there is no inverter.

Conclusion:

This is a very nice addition to your case and it only costs around 16$ so everyone can afford this. It’s very easy to install and gives your case a new look which is pretty unique still since not that many have these. This is probably the final add-on to your case modding project! We cannot do anything more than recommend and and give this product 5 out of 5 for a cheap product that works very well and suits everyone!

Pros:

+ Cheap
+ Bright
+ Easy to install

Cons:

- Power cable could be longer so you could hide it in the case
