Introduction
Around a year ago when we started rbmods we reviewed a L.I.S LCDand tonite we are having a look at the follower to the popular plug and play LCD. This new VFD product has several new features and we are going to have a close look on this thing and see if it’s better or worse than the LCD.

Specifications on the product:
This L.I.S VFD is a new type one for clearer letter and exiting of graphic effect than the previous product. Now we now have three types of color,its RED, BLUE, GREEN. This products are composed of VFD module, controller, cable; user’s manual and install CD.* VFD It can be possible to display rapidly by acting speedy response more than LCD and enable to operate it as high reliability and widen acting temperature (-40~85��). It has wide range of vision and very clear expression and supplies to users comfortable and excellent high brightness.

For the previous model, parallel mode, its have many problems of complication, difficulty for use,unsupported of various OS, Software compatibility and unstable operation. However, we adopt notsuch a parallel mode but Serial one, so user can be used it for stable, various, easy condition.
We adopt fast full 8bit mode in order to use graphic equalizing function of winamp and splendidinformation.
When you get new mail, it informs user by twinkling on VFD or playing MP3, WAVE Files.
We use exclusive operating program (L.I.S Main) not so as to discord between each program.Futhermore, it can be supported various OS (Windows98/98SE/ME, NT/2000/XP) just using one operating program.
Appling to the Blue, Red, Green color letter VFD, it can be obtained brilliant tuning effect. (Basic2x20 VFD model support)
V3 Model’s it can be showed H/W Sound Visualization for Music, Movie, Game and also Excellent High Brightness and Speed.

The box was nice looking with a more professional look than the old one and more colors which makes it look more attractive. The products are well protected inside. The side shows some features of this new product.

As I said before everything is very well protected. Inside we found the driver cd which is really small. Cables are also included and a manual. This device can flash the LCD or play a mp3 or wav file when you get email and that cable is also included in the box.

The VFD has the same looks as the LCD we reviewed. It has a nice aluminum look with a piece of plexi on top of everything. This is a high quality product thus far atleast. Top button is used to change the mode so you can see different stats. The bottom button is to reset and go back to the first screen.

All the electronics are very compact so it won’t come in the way. Also we can see that there are 4 holes on each side so this product will fit most cases if not even all. The right picture shows the first screen when booting the VFD up. It has a nice black background with some blue text.
