Introduction
Once again Jensofsweden has decided to release a new mp3 player. I think this might be a winner if you look on the cosmetic perspective; but we will have to go deeper in and see how it works also. The new player is called Mp-130 and is a follow up to the popular Mp-110 mp3 player that was a big seller a year ago.

Instead of a long steel tube they have decided to make it wider so everything will fit together easier. Included with the player you get a small temporary paper manual and the real one can be downloaded from the website later on. We also have a line-in cable so you can for example record songs straight from a cd player. We also have a pair of headphones and USB Jo-jo which retracts the USB cable by a simple pull. Something missing in the accessories. Yes I would say I’m missing a case which would ensure that you don’t scratch the OLED screen.

Close-up pictures on the line-in and the headphones. Something I would like to see is Jensofsweden providing better quality headphones that would be included with the player. Maybe a pair of Koss the Plug or something similar and I bet they could even reasonably raise the price by 5-10$ if they would just add better headphones. On the right picture we have the USB jo-jo that I told you about earlier, you just have to pull each side and it locks them at max length and the pull one more time and the jo-jo retracts the cable back in. This is something new and it’s a very good feature as you don’t have to play around with annoying thick USB cables.

This picture really shows how thin the USB cable really is. The total length of it is 80 cm which is pretty average if you think of other USB cables that are included with other products. On the right picture we see the player itself and we will now start with looking at the appearence of it and then go deeper into its features. The display is an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Display) display which turns into a mirror when you turn the player of or when it goes into battery saving mode. It has two colors which is not very usual as it’s orange on top and blue on the bottom.

On one of the sides JOS has put their logo. This player has a joystick which you navigate with in the menus. Push it down and you get to different menus. You can also change song and turn the volume up and down with this joystick. On the side of the player we find the buttons that also control a part of it
We have the play/pause, A/B, Sel and the hold button.
