Conclusion

Power Consumtion:

When the setup was turned of it still used 20W of power due to leds and functions on the motherboard. While idling in windows we were able to idle at 140W and full load at a 166W with a peak once in awhile to max 192W.

Conclusion:

This processor cost a bit more than the average one on the market. The Core i7 has been quite expensive to be honest and therefore Intel is releasing a Core i5 to be a more middle class cpu that people can afford.

The Core i7 920 will apparently dissapear soon but I personally hate to see that happen, the processor is really fast and easily competes with the 965 Extreme after some overclocking. I had no trouble overclocking even with aircooling which means that the cpu runs quite cool even after tweaking the Vcore up with over half a Volt. Overall I am more than happy with this, and more than recommend this to others, I will give it out editors choice award for extreme performance and overclocking possibilities.

Pros:
+ Fast
+ Overclocks very good
+ Runs cool
+ Stable

Cons:
- Price
