This part of the process will take a few minutes based on the how fast your host machine is but should be fairly quick on a modern machine.
The installation will reboot at least once and perhaps twice depending on your host machine but once done you see the following screen.
This is where you can configure your start screen color scheme and name the computer. I personally like a black background with green metro icons. After you make your color choice and enter a name and you hit next you will see the following.
You can either use express settings or customize but for most express settings are fine which is what I will use.
Once you hit the express settings button you will see the following,
which is where if you have a Microsoft account (IE: Live or Hotmail) you can enter it here. Now this is not mandatory, but it is the best way to login. This will allow SkyDrive to be connected to installation and configure things like Hotmail to the default mail application and pull over favorites. So I will be using my Hotmail account which will prompt me for a password before continuing. The next screen will ask for security info such as a cellphone number and alternate email info in case you are locked out of your account for any reason. Once done, you will see the following which is the finalization process and once complete you be logged into your new windows 8 virtual machine.
