So what does all of this mean for the average consumer? In short, not much. Most of these speeds are only marginally different from other leading manufacturers. While the USB 2.0 speed is rather slow, this could be attributed to the enclosure hardware responsible for converting the USB into SATA for the device. In real world testing it is unlikely that you would be able to detect any noticeable difference from any other external hard drive running on the same interface. In conclusion, this device neither impressed nor disappointed us, and is by every definition of the word, “average.”
