The whole casing on the psu is equipped with this fan grill type of cover to get max ventilation for the components inside. In the back you don’t have much more than the connector for the power cable and a on/off switch. Connectorwise there is 8 molex, 2 SATA and PCI-E connector. ATX wise you have both 20 and 24 pin so it doesn’t matter what motherboard you have.

Testing:

AMD 64+ 3200+ S939 Winchester
DFI lanparty UT nF4 Ultra
Mushkin 1Gb PC4400
Gigabyte ATI Radeon X700
Samsung 40 GB 7200 rpm harddrive

Full load voltages are taken by running SuperPi and Sisoft Sandra 2005 burn in program. Voltages are taken by measuring with multimeter.

3,3V:

The 3.3V was very stable as usual on most power supplies, lets check out the 5v which usually shows some quality differences.

5V:

As we do see the 5v was a bit more unstable than with the other power supplies. The multimeter flipped between 5.15-5.16 and had a hard time deciding which to stay on so this shows that the voltage is not as stable as it should be.

12V:

It’s the same story here I’m missing the very stable voltages since there is still a 0.2v jump down under load it’s all acceptable though.

Conclusion:

To sum this review up I have to say this is a decent power supply, it’s not the top of the line from Hiper as we have another one that seems to be even better. This is a good high quality product though and the only real flaw I could find was the noise from inside the PSU. It’s either the fan or some electronics that make noise. Voltages are very stable and high enough to be counted as high end. Well packed and a really good manual is also a bonus for this product. Overall we give this 4 out of 5 for a great product that has good high voltages even under load.

Pros:

+ Well packed
+ Good looking
+ Quiet fan
+ Good voltages

Cons:

- Noise from either fan or electronic

Red&Blackness gives it 4 out of 5 dots
