Hiper Hpu-4m480 power supply

I’ve gotten a lot of requests to review Hiper power supplies, so today we have one of their 480w supplies on our test bench. Hiper got in touch with us and offered a review sample so we are going to compare this to some high end power supplies from Coolermaster and from OCZ. Hiper is one of the top brands (at least here in Sweden) so it will be interesting to see how this performs vs the other contenders.

Extremley well packed product that on the top of the box has the main features printed and inside everything is well sorted out. The power supply itself is packed in bubble wrap to prevent dents, scratches, or other damage.

Included in the box is a very well written manual I have to admit, it even explains what the specific pins in a connector does. Of course a power cable is also included. The power supply itself comes in black which is a standard color these days on power supplies.

The fan in the power supply is 120 mm chome bladed fan but what I found annoying with it was that during usage it makes a little annoying sound all the time, sounds almost like a mailfunction in the electronics inside. The specifications on this PSU are very nice with two 12v rails at 18 and 16 amps. The 5v line provides 32 amps which is even higher than the 600w Seasonic we reviewed a week ago.
