Overclocking and Conclusion

Overclocking:

Gskill F3-12800Cl7T Tri channel kit

We were able to overclock the ram quite a bit with the combination of hardware we had available. As we can see we went from 133*20 to 203*20 without any major issues, the computer even booted at 210*20 but we were not available to tweak it to run any higher, that doesn’t mean it is not possible though. The cpu runs at 2,66GHz at stock speed and at 203*20 we had it running rock stable at 4,06GHz which is quite a decent increase with just air. The ram ran at stock latency so nothing amazing there though.

Latency wise were able to run at 7-7-7-22 at 173*20 speed but after that we were not able to tweak it so we had to run at the stock latency 7-8-7-24.

Unpacking:

Conclusion:

This is a very decent memory kit, stable at higher speeds and no heat issues even at 203*20. The “new” heatsink seem to do their job by keeping the ram cool and stable, I didn’t think the ram got to hot even at higher speeds and with increased ram voltage.

I don’t think there is much more I can say about the kit, I found a price for 190$ at Newegg so the prices are not horrible compared to other manufacturers. Overall a very nice memory kit that overclocks very well!

Pros:
+ Fast
+ Overclocks well
+ Well packed
+ Good heatsinks
+ Not bad priced

Cons:
- None this far
