Today we will take a look at two motherboards manufactured by Gigabyte. First is GA-MA890GPA-UD3H which is based on new 890GX chipset and the other one is GA-MA790X-UD3P which is based on the old highend chipset 790X. We will compare these motherboards against each other and see if the new chipset performs better than the old flagship.

GA-MA790X-UD3P comes in typical Gigabyte box. The front side has some information about the product and the backside has gives further information. The package is colored in white and has some clear pictures about the specifications and features of the motherboard.
Taking a quick look inside shows us what’s been bundled with the motherboard. Alongside with the motherboard we get sata cables, driver-cd, IDE-cable, a floppy cable, and a couple of manuals. It’s a pretty typical bundle setup for the mainstream/higher mainstream class motherboards.
