Gigabyte GA-8I915P Duo Pro Socket 775 motherboard
Pifast:

We used a computation of 10000000 digits of Pi, Chudnovsky method, 1024 K FFT, and no disk memory. There is a pretty big gap between these two processors. The lower numbers the better.
HDspeed:

Same HD speed with both boards. Time to talk a little about overlocking and see what this board can offer on the front.

On the left we have the main menu and by pushing CTRL and F1 you get another little overclocking menu on the bottom. On the right we have the integrated peripherals menu which you might want to look at if you are not going to use all the features.

This new processor runs a little hotter than the old p4 processors as we can see we are already at 48C. On the right we can see the “hidden” overclocking menu where you can change timings, voltages, etc.
Overclocking:
Well we tried some overlocking with this board and we ran the vcore at 1.58V and that was just on the line of overheating the processor but I must ask myself, ‘what won’t we do for our readers’?
We got our Mushkin ram running at 220FSB and our DDR2 sticks from Corsair were ran at 645mhz memory freq. The board has some potential with the right hardware but we only had air cooling for this socket type which slowed us down quite a bit. To get into the overlocking menu on this Gigabyte board you have to push CTRL and F1 to get the menu.
Conclusion:
Conclusion time again; well this board performs very well and offers you tons of features. You get DDR2 and PCI-E for example. I feel though that it’s not something most people will miss as the PCI-E cards are cheap these days. Accessory wise the motherboard is very good and gives you everything that you will need to get it running. Manual wise I really cannot complain as there are more than enough manuals included. Speedwise the board rocks even at stock speeds. Overlockingwas also good even though I don’t understand why they hide the menu. All in all we give this board 5 out of 5 and our recommendations for a great board that lets you buy a new board and still even use your old DDR while still having a great performing board.
Pros:
+ Fast
+ Cheap ($106)
+ Good accessories
+ Overclocks well
+ Very stable
+ DDR1 and 2 support
Cons:

Red&Blackness gives it 5 out of 5 dots
