We used the following software to benchmark the drive, Pcmark Vantage HDD and also timed reboot, startup and shutdown times in Windows.
Pcmark Vantage:
This is the general points that the drives got after the HDD benchmark test in Pcmark Vantage. We can see that even the Raptor drive is way behind the Gskill SSD. A raid setup might be able to get in between the Raptor and SSD drive but it is nowhere near the performance though.
Pcmark Vantage HDD Results:
In this graph we have listed all the specific parts that the HDD test makes and its results. The better number the higher is what counts in this test.
We can clearly see that the SSD sis superior vs the other drives in the benchmark atleast.
Windows Startup/Shutdown/Reboot Times:
In this test the SSD was actually a bit slower when it came to rebooting and normal shutdowns and startups. When it comes to general things like opening software and games etc it ended up being way faster that the other drives.
