Introduction

We have a pretty cool looking product on the test bench today. We will look at some UV reactive Neon paint. Flexiglow sent us this for a review and we will test it out on a keyboard to see if we can get some kind of action out of it.

The the products are very well packed in a separate package for each bottle. They are covered by plastic so you have to even use scissors to get these things open :) You don’t have to worry about something breaking here! They are all marked with their own color as we can see on the right picture, there is a dot on the bottle.

On the back they have printed info about the product, how you should apply it, and what to do before applying it. We can see that we got four different colors and that every bottle is equipped with a brush which is almost like nail polish. It certainly smells like it so see to it that you have an open window when applying it.

We can see that the paint itself leaves barely anything on the keyboard. This picture is taken after two coats of paint so it’s really clear paint which you will barely see or feel when applied. Ok, on the right picture we can see the problem. The blue paint shows very good but the rest shows nothing. If we look nearby we see the yellow but it’s barely visible. I don’t know if I got some bad samples of Neon paint or what because I have seen reviews which have shown alot better results. I was not able to get a result after 2,3 or 4 coats so I belive something is wrong my paint or something else. I will update the review if we are able to get some new neon paint.

Conclusion:

Well as you can see the results are not the best. The blue paint worked great but the rest just did not show up. This is a very good idea and it allows you to make cool mods with your computer. As up to today I cannot give this product more than 2 out of 5 as only one out of 4 colors showed up. I think though that this allows you to figure out some cool mods as painting the keyboard, screen or even a video card or something. Now I don’t take any resposibility if you do decide to start painting your card since I have not tried it.

Pros:
+ Cool looking
+ Different colors
+ Well packed
+ Easy to apply

Cons:

- Colors dont show up!
