The Evercool Turbo 2 VGA cooler comes well-packaged in a clear plastic package with the cooler prominently displayed on the front. The back provides a list of features/specs and a compatibility table. One thing that I noticed right off the bat is that the cooler isnt compatible with some of the latest video cards such as the 7600GS, 8800GT, x1950, etc. This limits the versatility of the card; hopefully, Evercool will update their design to accommodate these new cards.

Carefully opening the plastic packaging, we find the cooler snug inside a custom-fitted plastic insert.Along with the cooler itself, the package comes with some thermal paste, a set of screws/mounting accessories, and of course detailed instructions. One thing that was missing from this cooler that other coolers come with were RAM heatsinks, which help dissipate heat away from those ever-important RAM chips.

The cooling module is made of copper base that interfaces with the video card GPU and a large set of Aluminum heat fins, connected by 2 copper heat-pipes.The copper base appeared to be machined-smooth and free of imperfections, and I was glad to see a plastic covering preventing scratches or oils from degrading the important conductive surface.Overall, I was impressed by the size to weight ratio of the cooler; despite being almost as large as the video card, it weighed very little.

There is a single fan on the cooler, with nice red blades.I was a little surprised to see that the heat pipes were routed to the side of the fan instead of directly underneath it; you would think that direct air flow would work better. The cooler is actually fairly thick; about as thick as a deck of cards.
