Testing Time and Conclusion

Testing:
Intel QX6700
MSI X48 Platinum
Asus 9800GTX2 Matrix
Coolermaster M700
Seagate Momentus 7200,2 80GB 2,5 SATA drive

We used Sisoft Sandra 2009 and the latest Everest Ultimate version to benchmark the drive with a enclosure and also without one to show you the speed difference.

Sisoft Sandra 2009, Physical disk benchmark:
Eagle Tech ET-CS2LSU2-BK 2.5” Enclosure Review
Our tests in Sandra shows that there is a bit of difference as expected between running with a USB Enclosure and without.

Sisoft Sandra 2009, Removable disk benchmark:
Eagle Tech ET-CS2LSU2-BK 2.5” Enclosure Review
When running the removable disk benchmark in Sandra we see that the difference is even bigger. USB just can’t keep up with SATA as known but the is around normal for USB.

The left picture shows the Everest benchmark without the enclosure and the right one shows with the enclosure. You will drop about 100MB/s overall but this is still really reasonable.

Conclusion:
This has proven to be a good enclosure, it has been very easy to install the drive and it also works and doesnt need a external power source. Its very nice with a leather feeling and its small enough to fit in your pocket. It performed quite decent with beeing faster than a Icybox usb enclosure in some tests and we have also not found any heat issues with this device. I dont think there is much more to say, it removes the vibrating noise from the harddrive and keeps it cool and stable.

Pros:
+ Nice looking
+ Good performance
+ Built in USB
+ No external power needed

Cons:
- None this far
