Corsair Vs512mb400c3
Today we will look at some memory from the Corsair valueselect product line. We found this stick of 512 mb memory pretty cheap at newegg and decided to take a look at how it performs and also compares to the really fast low latency memories we have tested before.

The product was very nicely packed and as we can see it clearly states this is value select memory which comes for a cheap price but still has great performance. On the back we can find some statements that other review sites have made about Corsair products.

As we can see the memory is not equipped with any kind of heatsink to cool it off. But I think we should still try some overclocking and see what we can push out of this.
Testing:
AMD XP 2600+
Albatron KX18D Pro2
Corsair Vs512mb400c3
Antec PSU and case
XFX FX5200
Testing was done with Aida32, Sisoft Sandra 2004, and Pcmark2004. Testing was done against Corsair Twinx10243200LL memory running as a single channel.
Aida32:

The Twinx is faster but it also cost about 4 times more to buy. We can still see though that the slower Corsair ram performs very well. Lets check out some Sisoft Sandra 2004 benchmarks.
