Conclusion:

The GS800 has actually performered way better than I expected it to do, I have here in Sweden seen it go for as low as 70$ on sale which means this is a “bang for the buck” unit. Newegg has this unit for 99$ after a mail in rebate but this is not on sale.

The unit performed without flaws as far as we could see with our limited tests. We had stable rails with a near to silent performance from the PSU fan. Overall a very nice product that I can for sure recommend if you are in the market for a nice looking power supply with LED fan mounted into it.

Pros:
+ Low noise level
+ LED can be turned off
+ Small
+ Price

Cons:
- Rails could be more stable

That’s because the plain GX is an extremely low end design that can barely put out 500W. It was and is a piece of shit. This newer version, on the other hand, is a pretty decent ATNG design, who used to make server units.

Also, capacitor/coil squelling is a luck of draw. It can happen to any unit, and gives you the right to RMA if it happens so.

Funny how in the specs it says 6-2 pin x4 times and the review says only 2 and its not capable of crossfire/sli. Why should i buy a 700w power supply when i cant even connect two 7950s? what is it now 2x 6-2 pin or 4x 6-2 pin?
