The product arrived to us in plastic packet. Plastic packaging gives us a clear view of the product itself. Front side also has some compatibility information about the product as well some basic features such as PWM, high performance, smart temperature control, easy installation. Coolermaster has printed some of the specifications and features also to back side of the packet. Backside of the “stand” on which the cooler stands has the specifications and features mentioned in the section above.
Opening the packet was easier than I thought. Unlike the most plastic packages I’ve encountered, the packet wasn’t melted together but simply used some tape to keep it together. Inside the packet we found the usual stuff, the cooler itself, fan holders, a bit of thermal grease, fan, manual and stuff needed for attaching the cooler to Intel based socket 775 and socket 1156.
Hyper TX3 has a 92mm fan attached to front side of the cooler. The fan is made by Coolermaster, has a noise level of 17 – 35 dBA while airflow is 15.7 – 54.8 CFM. The fan operates using 4pin fan connector, allowing the motherboard to control the actual speed of the fan. The cooler has an option for another 92mm cooler to be attached to the back side for enhanced cooling performance.
