On the side of the monitor you have two USB 2.0 connectors along with a mic and headphone jack. You also got a SRS button to turn the SRS function off and on. SRS Truesound is supposed to make surround sound from only two speakers but people tend to have various opinions about this feature.
In the back you will find the connectors, while the sub is already connected to the right place. I feel that the unit stands very stable on the table thanx to the metal leg holding it up.

The subwoofer is mounted in a cylinder type construction on the back of the screen. All this metal and glossy black gives the screen a very professional and nice look. The question remains if the subwoofer can perform also as it weighs alot so I am hoping for it to perform to compensate for the weight.

The cables are usually wrapped indivudually in plastic but since my sample had been reviewed before I got them rolled up. The connectors are well placed behind the screen, since you unplug them straight down you will be able to do it even in tight spots.

You can use this monitor with the windows drivers but I prefered to install the real Lifetime drivers from Asus to get all the features to function on the monitor.
Something I have not mentioned in the review yet is the touch control panel. You can by pulling your finger sideways raise and lower the volume or various features of the screen. You don’t need any buttons as everything reacts very well to the finger movements.

I love how this monitor comes with all these functions and on top of that the screen is very clear and got a sharp picture both in windows and gaming. I was not able to get the webcam going, might have been driver issues ir something I overlooked but the webcam functions fine for normal videoconference as it is almost the same as I got on my laptop. The only con this far is the price of around 500$ which is quite high even for being a 22 inch screen. I also did not see many places selling this on shopping.com.
Sound quality:
The subwoofer sounds quite amazing for being so small. I have recorded a clip with the sub on medium volume. The sound quality is not the best as the mic was not to good at picking it up but it will give you an idea on how it will sound.
Sound clip
The speakers are quite small but I was positivly suprised on the high sound quality that we got from them. The sound is clear and you can easily raise the volume without getting buzzing or bad sound.
Conclusion:
I am quite satisfied with this monitor, it brings out some new features that I would like to see integrated on more monitors on the market. Why should you have to carry a webcam and a speaker system around when the technology is so good that you can integrate them on various components? I listened to various music styles at various volumes and the subwoofer/speaker combo sounds great. Picture quality wise I played a few different games and the monitor does not lag or have choppy graphics. The colors are great and you still have alot of brightness and color options to play around with. The touch menu makes buttons obsolete and also adds a “cool” factor to the LCD. The only con as I said earlier is the price and the lack of places to buy it at atleast in the states. Overall an awesome monitor with new features that I am sure we will see added from more manufacturers in the near future.
Pros:
+ Touch menu
+ Subwoofer
+ Great speakers
+ Awesome color and display
+ Nice looking
Cons:
- Price
- Lack of sellers
